Wood Furniture Production Processes & Procedures
A set of high-quality wood furniture can’t be made without a perfect production process. The main process for producing panel furniture includes cutting, wood-based panel veneer, edge sealing, slot processing, packaging, and assembly. Let's take a closer look at the process flow of panel furniture.
1. Material cutting: This is the process of cutting the panels used for furniture. Since the structure of panel furniture is simple and the accuracy of the connecting parts is high, a high-precision cutting saw can be used to directly cut the panel to the size of required parts.

2. Edge sealing is to use wooden strips, thin strips, veneer strips, thin wooden strips, melamine resin decorative strips, plastic film PVC strips, ABS engineering plastics, pre-painted decorative paper strips and other strip-shaped edge sealing materials, coat glue and then press on the edge of the board to seal the periphery of the board. The base material can be particleboard, MDF, solid wood, double-clad panel and so on.
3. Slots and holes processing:
(1) Connector holes: Various connector holes and round bar tenon holes need to be processed on the parts of drilled panel furniture. There are four main types, connecting holes, round tenon hole, hinge hole, and guide hole.
(2) Slots: Slots on furniture are usually sorted into through slots, broken slots, wire holes, etc. These slots are generally used to install panels, such as the back panel of cabinet, the bottom plate of drawer, etc., or to install various hardware accessories, such as sliding doors and other structural rails, various cables, and decorative strips.

4. Packaging: Panel furniture are mostly packed flat. During transportation the furniture will be knocked down to pieces, stacked together and packaged into a smaller volume. When it reaches the destination, it will be assembled. This not only fully saves the transportation space, but also reduces the transportation cost.
